Is it rude to ask someone's age when I chat with someone? And I'd like to know taboo about chatting. Thanks.

It's probably not considered to be good manners to ask an older person his age. But I don't think it matters with people in your own age group.
If you stick to generally accepted rules of politeness when chatting, you will probably be fine.
