Dear teacher:

I watched the nba games often,and I had heard some word '' Buzzer Beater''.

I known the meaning is the last shooting .

But I want to know why it called '' Buzzer Beater ''?

A buzzer is used to signal the end of an NBA game. Quite often a shot will score just before the buzzer sounds. That is a "Buzzer Beater". No doubt the term can be applied for anything else that happens just before a deadline.
