About the death penalty:

You shouldn`t be killed, just because you killed somebody and if you do, you would be stooping to the same level as the murderer.

The whole sentence is confusing.

Try this:- You shouldn't be killed just because you killed somebody; if you are, society is stooping to the same level as the murderer.

The only problem with the death penalty, in my opinion, is that sometimes innocent people are executed.
