"Can I have a go" means, can I have a turn, or can I try. You use it when somebody is doing something you would like to try or using something you would like to use (have a go at).
So, say your brother is riding a new dirt bike and you would like to ride it, you say "Can I have a go, (please)?"
If you go to a friend's house and they have a trampoline..."Can I have a go on your trampoline, please?"
If you would like to try your skill at a video game your sister is playing... "Can I have a go?"... and so on. |
