The following is my question:
Young Treasury Agent Elliot Ness arrives in Chicago and is deternimed to take down Al Capone but he learns that it�s not going to be easy, because Capone has the police in his pocket.
What does "take down" mean here? Would someone please paraphrase it? Thanks a lot. |

| Take down = cause his downfall. (Put him in jail, or just bust him for income tax evasion.) |
