Hello, teachers!!
(1) Nobody move! Stay where you are or I'll shoot.
----->
I found the sentence in a certain grammar book. Why didn't the author write (2) Don't move! Stay where you are or I'll shoot. Do you have any reasons why you use the word "Nobody"?
Thank you in advance. |

| Nobody = no person. You would use it when there are several people present to emphasize that it applies to them all. It is not necessary to use it and your suggestion is equally good. |
