Hi,
When talking about production, what's the difference between Lot and Batch? I read Lot 12, batch number, .... They mean the same for me.
Thank you.

A lot is a particular group of things.
A batch is a quantity or consignment of goods produced at one time.
If you have an order for 20,000 items, that is called a lot, but if you can only produce 2000 at one time (perhaps on a shift) that is called a batch so the lot is made up of 10 batches. |
