Hello, teachers!!
(1) Nothing gave her greater pleasure than to watch her son growing up.
(2) Nothing gave her a greater pleasure than to watch her son growing up.
(3) Nothing gave her greater happiness than to watch her son growing up.
(4) Nothing gave her a greater happiness than to watch her son growing up.
Which are correct English? I am not sure about how to use a preposition.

You would hear #1 and #3 more often than #2 and #4.
None of them is wrong, however. |
