Hello, teachers!!
(1) I had my picture taken for my passport.
(2) I had taken my picture for my passport.
----->
I think that (1)=A photographer took my picture for my passport.
If I use (2), do you have the same meaning as (1)?
Thank you in advance. |

| 2. Means that you took your passport picture yourself. |

By the way, (2) doesn't work as a stand-alone sentence. It needs to be used with something else to make it reasonable to use the past perfect.
EG "I had taken a new picture for my passport before I realised I had 20 spare passport pictures in my pencil case." _________________ Try some mini, on-line adventure games to help your English at: www.gameenglish.com |
