Dear Teachers,
The money that the writer of an article receives is called "emolument", I am curious to know whether it is right or wrong. If it is not accurate, please help me find it out.

That is correct and appropriate in this situation, but it is a very uncommon word even for native speakers.
Many people simply use the general term "payment" or "pay" when referring to a specific amount of money they collect at one time.
Similarly, "wage" would be used if the money is charged per hour or day. "Salary" would be used if the payment is a set amount for the year. _________________ Pat Mallon
