It's a common problem. Here in Southern California, you can hear quite a lot of "Spanglish" from people whose native tongue is Spanish, and "Chinglish" from people whose native tongue is Chinese. In other parts of the country, it is "Franglais," a mixture of French and English.

Its just easier to pull out the word from one's mother tongue if it isn't known or isn't easy to remember from the new language.

If you want to break the habit, you have to constantly remind yourself to search for the word in English before resorting to the Chinese, then if you can't remember it, ask the other person how to say it in English, or find a different way to express it in English.

Good luck.
