Hello,
On my family tree chart, should I label "I" or "me"? "Me" is probably more natural, but is "I" very wrong?
Thank you.

"Me" sounds more natural and would be correct. When you are making a family chart, the people on it are all objects. "This is my father." "This is Uncle Bob." "This is me." However, we eliminate the "This is" when filling out the labels and we just have the objects of these sentences.
"I" would be wrong, because you are not the subject in a sentence. "I" wants to be paired with a verb to complete an action. A label on a family tree does not allow this. _________________ Pat Mallon

I disagree. It should be I to be grammatically correct.
This is I.
However, you will hear most people say,
"This is me." Rather than, "This is I."
Common usage is often not grammatical. |
