What kind of action is "move files" and why will it be threatening?
Indeed, when Rouse told colleagues he wanted to leave the White House by the end of this year, Messina bet him $400 that he would not. Well see what happens, Rouse told me when I asked about the bet last month. Then Obama made Rouse interim chief of staff. Rouse initially resisted moving into Rahm Emanuels corner suite until colleagues threatened to move his files for him. Messina jokes that Rouse will turn off the Oval Office lights after eight years and before assuming his new job, running Obamas presidential library. _________________ Hiromichi |

Files, here, means the paperwork associated with his job.
He originally did not want to move into Rahm Emanuel's corner suite of offices (a corner office or suite is considered to be a desirable mark of prestige withing the corporate or government hierarchy), so his colleagues threatened that they would move all his stuff into the new office for him.
Wow! How exciting. |
