Dear teachers,
Tellfrom
Tellapart
I want to know the difference between these two phases. Do they use in the same way or not?
Sincerely,
Florence |

I can't tell them apart.
I can't tell him from his brother.
Either works, in this case. |

Dear teacher,
So, can I also use "I can't him apart his brother"
Is that right ?
Or I can only put "them" in this phrase?(tell....apart)
Thank you for your answering |

I can't tell him apart from his brother is OK.
You can also say, "I can't distinguish between him and his brother." |
