|
|
The following are my two questions.
1. I thought the pitcher might want to use his curve ball ______ me, and I was right.
(A) to (B) in (C) as (D) on
Which one is the correct answer?
2. So the next time your in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, pay visit to McCoy Stadium, where a very long professional baseball game was played.
There seems to be something wrong with the sentence. Can I say this way,
"So the next time you are in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, pay visit to McCoy Stadium, where a very long professional baseball game was played"?
Thanks a lot. |

You are correct to note there was something wrong with the original. It should read:
So, the next time you're (you are) in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, pay a visit to McCoy Stadium, where a very long professional baseball game was played. |
