Dear Teacher:
Would you like to tell me about the difference between "believe" and "trust"? And how to use them properly? Thanks a lot!

Sincerely,
Linda Lee Smile

These two words are similar in some ways.
Believe = to feel sure that something is true; to accept the statement of someone as true; to have religious faith.

Trust: to believe in the truth, or ability of someone.

Trust someone with - to have the confidence to allow someone to have, use or look after something or someone.
Trust something or someone to - commit something or someone to the safe keeping of (someone or something)
Trust to - place reliance on (fate, luck, karma, etc.)
Trust (as a polite formula) e.g. I trust you have enjoyed your stay. = I hope or expect.
