Few minutes ago, I went to the chatroom of this website. I was lookin forwards to meeting people who can freely chat with the visiters and guests there but only to find out that most of teh poeple there were too shy to talk, even after several tries to encourage them to give opinions and respones.
Sigh, what's happening htere?
Well, I might as well tell that I did find out there were some "teachers" in the chatroom at that time. Sure, their English there is no doubt but the only thing that still confuses me is, why I only felt ignored? felt, neglected?
Sometimes, I wonder, how come people just login and hang in there, so quiet, irresponsive, and ignoring? what are they there for? Well, I think no matter the purpose you spend your time there, either your Enlgish is great or loucy, showing the basic netiquette is something as important as that in the real world. I treat everybody well, or at least, I think those who want to come here using the great services this good website provides as one of their ways to improve their English, should "at least"be regarded.
Though, I know, this is syberspace, not everyone cares about resposibility or respect, but I think for those "teachers" you should be somehow the models to demonstrate this concept well to improve this environment or I'll find it harder and harder to to learn English through chatrooms!
