I am confused with how to answer plural interrogative sentences.
If it is a plural interrogative sentence, how to reply by using singular answer.

1. Answer B is right as is. Interestingly, the question is wrong. It should read, "Are there any pigs in the picture?" This is true even if there is only one pig. In that case, the answer should be, "Yes, there is one."

2. Answer B is right. It is short for, "Yes, there are pigs in the picture." We know there are more than one pig from the set-up, which says there are cute koalas and pigs.
