Any, as an attributive adjective (pronominal determiner) can be used correctly with count and non-count nouns. Both sentences are okay, the second one being more common. The first any may imply one or a; the second could mean more than one, many and some.
Examples (as singular):
Buy some fruit. Any fruit will do.
Get a dog. Any dog will do.
Examples (as plural):
I will not buy any apples.
I will bring some photos. |
