I'm delighted and amazed at how much media recognition that the Pulitzer brings, as compared to even the National Book Critics Award.
What does the underlined sentence mean?

The sentence is saying that the Pultizer brings a lot of recognition. In comparison to the National Book Critics Award, the recognition is greater.
Pultizer = high recognition
NBCA = low recognition
