Dear Sir or Madam,
I have a question. Which is right?
He serve in the army for only______ before he was sent back.
A. one and a half year B. one year and a half
C. a year and a half D. a year and half
The supposed answer is B. But doesn't "a year and a half" mean the same? |

I like your choice better than the test's choice. I think for a year and a half is fine. |

A this should be "one and a half years"
D this should be "a year and a half"
I can't see anything wrong with C.
Hope this helps.
