It's hard to say whether this is just a typographical error or an intentional change from "take a shower" to "shake a shower." Where did you find the quotation? Is it a song lyric?

It's again Bob Dylan's song--Motorpsycho Nitemare. I think Bob Dylan sang 'shake a shower' instead of 'take a shower', though I knew a lot of online lyrics run the version of 'take a shower'.
