Hi!!
I've always searched for somethign that could help me learning the use of "get" as single word or/and as a phrasal verb, but trying to study, memorizing it've found out that this way is not useful.

So, I wonder if there are some texts that aim at teaching the use of "get", reading it and understanding its meaning in various form.

Is there something similar on the net?
What would you suggest me?

Thaaaanks!

Good luck. There are many expressions using get in English, and there may be no exhaustive list.

Let's get going (let's start). Get out of here (go away; stop trying to fool me). I don't get it (I don't understand). Get up (arise from bed). Get me a beer, will you (please bring me a beer). Get real (stop being phony). Get with it (become more informed). Get this (here is some information for you). Get straight (quit using drugs). Get a load of that (look at that carefully). Get back (return; stay away). Get married (marry). Get a job (find employment). Get fired (lose employment). Get a raise (be awarded more money for the same work). Get promoted (be elevated to a higher position). Get demoted (be reduced to a lower position). Get ugly (become unpleasant). Get a blood test (have blood drawn). Get on board (join; agree). Get off (debark). Get on (embark). Get experience (learn by doing).

I could go on and on, but I'm getting tired (becoming fatigued). I hope you get what you want (find what you seek). (Help, I can't stop! Get me out of here (help me exit).)

I know there are many expressions using "get", but i didn't ask a list, otherwise i would have taken a look at a dictionary instead asking here.

I think CP was giving you examples because there is no "easy" way of learning all the meanings in which "get" occurs. You can look for websites with lists with sample sentences, and websites that have exercises where you can fill in the correct words, but I don't know any easy way to learn them.
