There are two sentences in the following:
1、I went to school at ten last night.
2、I was going to school at ten last night.
Could you tell me which one is more reasonable?
thanks a lot. |

1).As a stand-alone sentence, only "I went to school at ten last night", is correct.
In this sentence the verb is in the past tense.
2).I was going to school at ten last night...
Was going is the imperfect tense of the verb to go. The imperfect tense denotes a past action in progress but not completed at the time, so you are looking for more information to complete it.
e.g. I was going to school at ten last night when I met John.
