Please help me find out the correct answer.
Which one of the following choices is the right one?
(A) The secretary of the company was engaged with Mr. Wang, her manager.
(B) Please keep me informed on the latest news.
(C) Our boss was very much marveled at it.
(D) Lincoln is well known by everyone in the world.
Thanks for your help. |

D is the most grammatically correct.
A. The secretary should be engaged to Mr. Wang, not with.
B. Should be "informed of the latest news."
C. "marveled at it" is not correct. The intent of the question is not apparent. Is he looking at something he is impressed with? If you said "Our boss marveled at it very much.", that would make more sense. "Our boss was very much marveled at." would also make sense. The "very much" is not necessary since "marveled at" is a strong statement in itself.
D. I could find nothing wrong with the grammar, but I question the validity of the statement. "Everyone" includes an aborigine in Australia and a pygmy in Africa, etc. _________________ Educe22 |
