If I want to write about my feelings or opinion aftering reading a novel such as Pride and Prejudice, how should I write the title?
Could I say "a reflection on Pride and Prejudice"?
Or is there any specific word for this kind of essay?
thanks |

That is a perfectly good essay title. However, do capitalize the main words, i.e., "A Reflection on Pride and Prejudice."
As long as the title of the book is obvious and cannot be confused with some other generic subject, you will be okay. For example, let's say that there was a book entitled "The Holocaust." If you entitled your essay "Reflections on The Holocaust," there might be some confusion as to whether you were writing about the book or the historical event. _________________ Educe22 |

To be honest you should probably italicise the name in the title, like so:
A Reflection on Pride and Prejudice
This isn't a grammar issue, it's a style thing and different people have different opinions! The important thing really is to decide what you want to do and then be consistent. It's common to italicise titles like Pride and Prejudice in text, just to make things clear for the reader, but it's your choice. |
