{1} Neither Peter wanted to take responsibility, nor did his wife.
I have just seen this sentence on a web site. but when I saw it, I was puzzled because I thought this sentence is not correct.
I think that it should be written like this sentence, "Neither did Peter want to take ... nor did his wife."or "Peter neither wanted to take... nor did his wife."
And then is {1} correct? If so, why? |

| Actually, I would prefer, "Neither Peter nor his wife wanted to take responsibility." as the best example. |
