Dear Teach,
Is the following sentence correct? Should I change "nothing" to "none"?
I asked her what her favorite subject is except for English. She said nothing. She likes English only.

She said nothing means, she was silent.
The sentence is correct.
She said, "Nothing." reports what she said.
It would also be a correct sentence with the proper punctuation. |
