My interpretation would be a minor differentiation. If I were to say "I slipped on the snow," to me it would mean that there was a small bit, a patch, of snow say on stairs and I slipped on that patch.
If I said that "I slipped in the snow," it would imply, to me, that there was a lot of snow, as on a hill, and I slipped in more than just a patch of snow. _________________ Educe22 |
