--Do you have Mary's phone number?
--Sorry, _______________.
A. I don't know
Could I choose this answer to fit in with the situation? Is it natural and authentic from the point of a native's view?
Thanks |

I would have to say, "Sorry, I don't." or maybe "Sorry, I don't know it." If the question is "What's Mary's phone number?" then "I don't know." is fine. |

Thanks for your help.
Then could I use "Sorry, I can't remember it" instead? Is it proper this time?
Thanks |
