Is "training existing" in the following sentences grammatically right? If right, what's the meaning?
--------- the following -----------
---A CTO (Chief Training Officer) is an executive who develops, organizes and manages the various training programs of an organization. As companies have begun to realize that training exsisting and new employees, new business techniques and information can be one of their core assets, a CTO's role in big multinationals such as GE has significantly increased. --- |

I would edit it thusly:
A CTO (Chief Training Officer) is an executive who develops, organizes and manages the various training programs of an organization. As companies begin to realize that training of (existing and new) employees in new business techniques can be an important part of their core objective, a CTO's role in big multinationals such as GE has significantly increased.
You can see that "existing and new" are conjoined adjectives for employees.
New information is implied in new business techniques.
Companies have core objectives which are achieved by training.
