Today I will talk about two different cities, one in Europe and the other in Oceania, one in one part of the world and the other in the opposite part . Auckland is in the North of NZ, and in Oceania, and Madrid is in the center of Spain, in Europe. The weather is a little similar, not too hot in the summer, with small differences, and not too cold in the winter.
The population in Madrid is 2.9 million and in Auckland is around 1.5million, the composition of this population in both cities is similar, there are a lot of people from other cities around and inmigrants.
In Auckland a big percentage of the houses are individual with gardens, and in Madrid they are flats or apartaments. The language in Madrid is spanish and in Auckland is english.
You have a lot of different activities to do, near to the sea many different sports, watersports, golf... ,cruises etc., in Madrid you can visit galleries, go swimming, play tennis and go to bullfights.
On the other hand you have many places to visit, in Auckland, the Skytower, museums, the Howick Historical Village and the Observatory for example, and in Madrid, The Prado museum, the Royal Palace, The Almudena Cathedral or a "Buen Retiro" park are a good idea.
One thing that I don't like is the pollution in Madrid, because there are a lot of cars and the wind in Auckland.
In general I like both cities, one is near to the sea and the other has very fun nightlife.
