Which of the three, "upper left-hand corner" OR "upper-left hand corner" or "upper left hand corner", as in "Write your name on the upper left hand corner of the page," is punctuationally correct?

If more than one is correct, which one is the most common usage?

Upper and left both refers positions, examples like northeast/southwest, why shouldn't they be joined instead left and hand?
