Hi , teacher
I'd like to know what meaning of the sentence from book. It's "dogged" as does it. I know "dog" actually means a animal. But the sentence looks like a proverb. What does "dogged" in this sentences mean? Is it similar with "stubborn" or "willful"? Then the other, It rains "dogs and cats." I don't understand. What's wrong with them? Just a proverb?
Thanks for your help:D

Dogged means tenacious, or grimly persistent.
It's dogged as does it means: It is tenacity that will succeed. |

To answer your second question, "It's raining cats and dogs" is an expression that means it is raining very hard. As though it is not just water falling out of the sky, but cats, dogs, anything. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
