When I was a student I stayed with a host family/guest family in Madrid.



Are both `host family�and `guest�family correct? (Host mother/Guest
mother?)

Please comment.

We don't use this much, but I have only heard "host family". If you stayed with a host family, you were the guest. A "guest family" sounds like a whole family was staying with the host family.
