Gruess dich Heine,
How come the University can't help you? Isn't there any student body, advisory organization, clubs, etc. in Cambridge? Is there any forum for the students in Cambridge? If there is one, you can ask the students. If you have no relatives or people you could stay with, looks like you'll have to stay in a hotel (which might be quite expensive). If that's the case, I'd suggest looking for hotel rates on line. Are there any dorms in Cambridge? If there are some, you should probably try to get in one of them. If you don't find anything, be more aggressive with the admission office in Cambridge. They've accepted you to study there, it's their responsibility to make sure you have a place to stay in! Otherwise, I don't see what's the point of coming there...
Viel Glueck,

Thanks for your reply.
This i how it works in many cases. I have friends who had to say in a hotel for 2month until he found a place to stay. The thing is, that some one could use my apartment in exchange for I could use theres. Maybe there is a forum where people can exchange homes.
Does anyone know for any site / place that can offer this service in helping students find accommendation.
