"that" below should be "whether"? Or are there any differences between that and whether?


This symposium addresses questions that Japan is facing after the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011, and the *beep* nuclear accident.

that is correct.

What the symposium is addressing is:- Questions that Japan is facing etc...

Or decisions that Japan has to make etc.

There's a filter that is supposed to replace all rude words with beep in case anyone is offended. It is easy to bypass but often catches words that are not rude at all. The c o c k crowed every morning gets beeped like this for example.
