Heh - I'll try, but it's wordier than the original, so I don't know if it's really all that helpful:
A movie is made by flashing pictures. Every second, 24 still pictures (frames) are shown in rapid succession. There are gaps in between these frames. These gaps appear black because they happen when the pictures are being switched from one to the next. _________________ Helping ESL students since 2001!
