Hello,
In daily life, i wonder how English native speakers say the date.
Grammar books teach us to say, for example, October the first for October 1 instead of October ONE.
I once heard English native speakers say "October one."
Are both acceptable now? Has grammar changed?

I've never heard "October one"
In speech "October the first" or "the first of October"
