Apparently, this is a quote from Walt Disney.
My question is whether I can choose A, since the first blank is first mentioned with no specific reference.
Am I right?

Not really!
It is because there there is no specific reference that you can't put "one".
"one" would have to refer back to some specific category previously mentioned.
Without something to refer to it sounds strange.
