A. his own B. his
The answer given is "his".
Can you tell me why A is wrong?

I can't tell you why, because I think it's fine!
Better than the other answer, in fact, which I don't like.
In my opinion, "make it his own" means to feel confident with something and be able to use it in his own ways, not just the specific ones taught.
And it's just fine.
But maybe other versions of English use it differently.
