Hi.
I have trouble understanding the next sentence from the acknowledgement section of an academic book.
Jerry Reichman has supplied energy, insight, and a spirited and cosmopolitan focus on the multiple ways in which property can be protected.
What I don't quite understand is "a spirited and cosmopolitan focus". I interpret this like "Jerry Reichman has...developed a spirited argument from the global perspective", but am I correct? I appreciate it very much if you could paraphrase this part. Thank you. |

Seems a bit peculiar to me too.
I assume "spirited" means energetic or enthusiastic, and "cosmopolitan" means considering ideas from lots of different cultures or countries.
Hope helps,
