When in a water pipe system, Pipe A is located upstream in comparison with Pipe B, can we write as "Pipe A is located upstream of the Pipe B?, or should we write as "Pipe A is located at an upstream side of the Pipe B? Please give me an advice. Thanks in advance. |

Just "upstream of Pipe B" is fine.
Best wishes,
