Hello teachers. Could you help me with the following expressions?
Which expression is correct?
#1 It was lower than 0 degree Celsius this morning.
#2 It was lower than 0 degrees Celsius this morning.
In the articles in the web site, both expressions can be seen. It is OK if I use either of them?
Thank you.
Yukineko. |

Sounds much more normal with the s, to my ear.
Not sure if there is a grammatically correct answer, though.
Hope helps,

Both can't be used correctlyOne (1) is singular and everything else is plural when determining degree or degrees In another example, we also say there are no apples in the tree as well as two apples in the tree. _________________ TAO |

It certainly is! When you think how many hours a child spends listening to learn its native language... thousands and thousands!
Don't give up!
Best wishes,
