I understand that you can omit articles, "a" or "the" in the headlines of the news article. What about for the book title, then? Can you omit them as well for book titles?
For example, I've seen a book title (English translation), called "The City is the History."
If you were the author of the book, wouldyou omit articles and name your book "City is history"?

Probably not. Newspaper headlines are a special case. Editors want them big to attract attention, so omissions (and a whole special vocabulary!) are used.
I've never noticed a book title that seemed to be abbreviated in the same way.
