The following is my question:
Jane: Hey, let's go to the park now.
Amy: Sorry I can't, _____ I have something to do later.
Jane: What's that? Can I help?
(A) but (B) and (C) so (D) if
The answer is (B), but I think (A) would be a better choice. Am I right?
Please help me out. Thanks a lot. |

I'm sorry, not really.
The two parts are better joined by "and" because they are both talking about not being able to go to the park, the first part now and the second part later.
Hope that makes sense,
Best wishes,
