The sentence below is from a text book.
The venture's revenue in its third year was higher than that of its first two years combined.
What is the first its and the second its indicating respectively?
What is that indicating? |

Both "its"are possessive, meaning "the venture's".
And "that" means "the revenue".
Hope helps,
