Eyewitness in Jabaliya
During the course of the day, three people died in the area around Sikkert Street. According to Palestinian sources, none of them were militants. One of them was Munir Deqqes, a nine-year-old boy.

Among the dead on Monday was a child and a 16-year old girl. The teenage girl, Asma Dwidar died after being hit by a bullet in the chest in the eastern part of the Jabalya camp in Gaza.

Israel's ongoing army operation has left Gazans in shock
Palestinian officials and witnesses have dismissed Israel's assertion that its forces are not deliberately targeting civilians in ongoing army operations in the northern Gaza Strip.
At least 65 Palestinians have been killed and more than 200 injured in the five-day onslaught, ordered by Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in retaliation for the death of two Israeli children in a Hamas missile attack on the Israeli settler town of Sderot, east of Gaza, last week.

Violence flares in Gaza

Clashes in Gaza have claimed 21 Palestinian lives so far
At least seven Palestinians have been killed by an Israeli tank shell in the Jabalya refugee camp, raising the death toll in violence across Palestine to 24.
The tank shell incident took place on Thursday near Jabalya's main market, scene of gun battles between occupation soldiers and resistance fighters. Palestinian witnesses said the dead were likely to be civilians and not armed men.
The Israeli army had no immediate comment.
