I want to know how to distinguish of these words, "speak","say","talk","tell".

Speak and talk are not about what you say.
He speaks French.
They were talking.
Say and tell are about what you say.
Tell needs an object. "He told me that he was happy"
Say can't have a personal object like that. "He said that he was happy"
There's more, but that's a start.
