The following is my question:
I cannot really picture their personality through __________.
(A) whatever of their actions are revealed to me
(B) no matter what actions of theirs are revealed to me
(C) their actions are revealed to me
(D) whatever of their actions that are revealed to me
Which one is the correct answer? Please help me out, and give some explanation. Thanks a lot. |

| Is this from a test of some kind? It's rather awkward English in my estimation, and therefore difficult to make a choice or explain. |

| The answer I got later is (A), but how about (B)? Is there any difference? |

I don't like A. I'd prefer "whichever" to "whatever" (Even then, the sentence doesn't sound very natural.)
If you want B, you would have to leave off the "through" (I cannot really picture their personality no matter what actions of theirs are revealed to me.) However, this sentence does not sound natural either. |
